Jabberwocky is a Freedom 28 sailboat, hull # 24, designed by Gary Mull, and built by TPI (then Freedom Yachts, RIP) in 1987. She spent her early years on the New Jersey coast and in Raritan Bay until we brought her through New York Harbor, up the East River, past Hell Gate and out Long Island Sound and back to New England in May, 1998.
Our cruising grounds were Buzzards Bay, the Elizabeth Islands, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket and eventually Maine.
We sold Jabberwocky in December, 2004; last heard she was at Stingray Point, Deltaville, VA. She will have been sailed to and through the major bays of the Northeast. Built in Narragansett Bay, sailed from Barnegat Bay to Long and Block Islands, then from New Jersey to Buzzards Bay and up to Penobscot Bay. And now the Chesapeake!
