The Key Lime Sailing Club and Cottages provided a relaxing week of sun, sand and sailing in a real Keys environment. And a break from the endless snow of New England.
Once a week Paul Keever, the owner, takes the guests out on his electric-powered catamaran. Having just driven down from Ft. Liquordale, we took a rain check but saw them pass by while we are down the road. And we got a powerboat ride to the other side later in the week.
The complex is a quick turn off the Intercoastal Highway, aka Rt. 1, just past the center of Key Largo. Rollin through an old gate, you are transported into a quiet world of old cabins, palm trees and sand. And tiki torches in the evening.
